Yang Wang is the managing partner of Dechert’s Beijing office.
Mr. Wang has extensive experience in cross-border acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments. He also has substantial experience in initial public offerings on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He advises private equity funds, multinational companies, family offices, investment banks, Chinese private companies, as well as state-owned enterprises. Mr. Wang has also advised on a number of cross-border disputes and restructuring matters.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Wang worked at an international law firm where he focused primarily on cross-border acquisitions and capital market transactions.
Mergers and Acquisitions
- Baird Medical Investment Holdings Limited in its US$370 million de-SPAC business combination with ExcelFin Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: XFIN), a publicly traded Special Purpose Acquisition Company.
- Graham Partners in its acquisition of Taoglas Group Holdings Ltd., a trusted provider of antennas, advanced IoT components, and custom design services that helps customers navigate complex RF and wireless systems and brings connectivity solutions to market.
- SK Holdings Co., Ltd. in its US$300 million investment in Chindata Group Holdings Limited, a data center operator.
- Fortune Group Holdings Limited, wholly owned by Chatchaval Jiaravanon, on the purchase of FORTUNE media brand for US$150 million from Meredith Corporation Limited.
- Shanghai Shenda, a leading publicly listed state-owned enterprise in Shanghai, on its acquisition of 70% interest in IAC’s soft trim and acoustics business and formation of a global joint venture upon the acquisition to supply soft trim and acoustics products to automotive original equipment manufacturers globally.
- Shareholders of Join Me Group, a large B2B procurement platform for the food service industry in China, in the sale of 100% of equity interests of Join Me Group to Wowo Limited, a NASDAQ-listed e-commerce platform focusing on local entertainment and lifestyle services.
