Julia L. Shea

Julia L. Shea is an associate in Dechert’s litigation group. She represents clients in complex commercial disputes before federal and state courts and in matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice.

Ms. Shea also devotes time to pro bono matters, focusing on criminal appeals and immigration-related issues. Her representative experience includes a criminal appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and assisting a Syrian political dissident obtain asylum in the United States.

While at St. John’s University School of Law, Ms. Shea served as the Editor-in-Chief of the St. John’s Law Review. She also interned for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Securities Arbitration Clinic, and the Honorable Robert J. Prisco on the County Court of Westchester County.
