Lauren Schnepper Junior

An antitrust associate in Dechert’s Washington, D.C. office, Lauren Schnepper Junior’s practice covers both U.S. and international competition law, with an emphasis on antitrust issues involving technology markets. Ms. Junior represents clients in federal and state courts across a variety of industries and through all stages of litigation. Additionally, she also has experience representing technology and media companies on antitrust issues before international antitrust enforcers.

Ms. Junior’s key matters include representing Zillow Group Inc. in an on-going, high-profile antitrust lawsuit filed by REX, relating to the display of broker listing information. Ms. Junior is also a member of the team representing Microsoft in its role as an interested party in the Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit against Google. In addition, she has represented Microsoft in a variety of tech-related antitrust investigations.

Ms. Junior maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on advocacy in the area of K-12 education and veteran issues. She is accredited by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. While in law school, Ms. Junior was a member of the UVA Law Supreme Court Clinic team that helped represent the petitioner in Culbertson v. Berryhill, 586 U.S. 304 (2019), a case in which the United States Supreme Court unanimously ruled for the petitioner. Ms. Junior was also the vice president of the Public Interest Law Association and previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable George J. Hazel formerly of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Before law school, Ms. Junior was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and taught high school mathematics. As a former high school teacher, Ms. Junior has experience staying calm under pressure, making complex topics understandable to diverse audiences, and thinking strategically to achieve objectives.
