Julie Jones is an associate in the enforcement and investigations group with a focus on cybersecurity, privacy and AI. She assists clients in navigating complex cybersecurity issues, including data breaches, regulatory compliance, and cyber risk management.
In addition, Ms. Jones works on privacy due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions. Her clients depend on her for guidance on adhering to sector-specific privacy laws and regulations, encompassing federal and state privacy and cybersecurity laws and frameworks, along with industry self-regulatory codes.
Her experience includes representing clients in data privacy litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation.
Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Jones served as an intern in the Consumer Protection Branch at the United States Department of Justice and as an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Ms. Jones also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable James A. Crowell IV at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
