LMG Life Sciences Recognizes Dechert for Product Liability Success in its Americas Awards
Dechert’s product liability practice has been recognized for its success with the recognition of the In Re Zantac Product Liability Litigation as an “Impact Case Winner” in the LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards 2024. Dechert serves as national counsel to GlaxoSmithKline in multidistrict and state-court litigation across numerous active jurisdictions alleging that Zantac, a type of heartburn medication, causes cancer as a result of the formation of the chemical NDMA.
Dechert and its lawyers were also named finalists by LMG Life Sciences in three other categories:
- Mark Cheffo, co-chair of Dechert’s global litigation practice, was named a “Product Liability Attorney of the Year” finalist;
- Katherine A. (“Kassie”) Helm, Ph.D. was named a “General Patent Litigator of the Year - New York” finalist;
- Dechert was named a “Government Investigations Firm of the Year” finalist for outstanding performance and dedication to client service.
Winners were announced at a ceremony at 583 Park Ave, New York on September 5.
