Law360 Honors Five Dechert Partners as MVPs of the Year

Five Dechert LLP partners have been selected as MVPs of the Year for 2022 by leading legal publication Law360.

Each year, the publication names just a handful of lawyers per practice area across a range of legal disciplines. Those selected as MVPs are judged to have achieved the biggest wins or made the most significant contributions to their practice areas in the past year. 

Dechert is among a small group of firms with the highest number of individuals selected this year.

Those honored as Law360 MVPs are:

David Forti (Real Estate). Co-chair of Dechert’s global finance and real estate practice groups and long-time member of the firm’s Policy Committee, Mr. Forti advises on high-value transactions involving commercial real estate loan origination, mezzanine financing and CMBS securitization secured by properties located throughout the United States, including many of the largest commercial real estate loans originated in the past year.

Andrew Levander (White Collar). Elite white-collar defender and Dechert chair, Mr. Levander has advised blue-chip companies and prominent executives on a maelstrom of investigations and litigation; his caseload provides a snapshot of the critical white-collar issues of the day.

Brenda Sharton (Cybersecurity & Privacy). Global co-chair of Dechert’s top-ranked privacy and cybersecurity practice, Ms. Sharton is an internationally recognized thought leader and pioneer in the space. She provides data breach response advice and defense of government regulatory matters and class action litigation to multi-billion-dollar global companies in what are frequently cutting-edge and precedent-setting matters.

Eduardo Silva Romero (International Arbitration). Co-chair of Dechert’s global international arbitration practice, Mr. Silva Romero is a recognized leader in international arbitration and regularly acts as lead counsel in cutting-edge disputes involving sovereign States and State-owned entities.

Mark Thierfelder (Private Equity). Head of Dechert’s global corporate and securities group and chair of the firm’s global private equity practice, Mr. Thierfelder led Dechert’s private equity practice through a record-shattering year in 2021 in which the firm advised on US$200+ billion worth of PE deals, including some of the most significant transactions in the market.
