Dechert Makes NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women List Second Year in a Row
For the second consecutive year, Dechert earned a spot on the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) Top Companies for Executive Women list as a result of high female representation in key management positions, and programs and policies that help women reach the top. In its 22nd year, the Top Companies for Executive Women list provides a snapshot of women’s progress moving into senior leadership roles.
The latest data shows that women at Dechert comprise 33 percent of profit and loss positions, 29 percent of the Policy Committee, one-quarter of the CEO’s direct reports and 10 percent in formal sponsorship. All mothers who give birth are entitled to eight weeks of short-term disability, on top of a gender-neutral policy providing 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees becoming new parents, either through childbirth, adoption, surrogacy or fostering. Additionally, 55 percent of the lawyers promoted to partner effective January 1, 2020 were women.
Dechert has also been recognized as a member of The Working Mother Research Institute’s Inclusion Index, as well as one of Working Mother’s “100 Best Companies” and “Best Law Firms for Women.”
NAFE is a division of Working Mother Media and is one of the largest women’s professional associations in the United States. The organization has a rich history of providing education, networking and public advocacy to empower its members to achieve career success and financial security.
