Alexis Westwood
Alexis Westwood focuses her practice on employment matters, including contentious, advisory and transactional issues. She regularly drafts and negotiates employment agreements, consultancy agreements and settlement agreements in addition to drafting a wide range of employment policies.
Ms. Westwood also advises on the employment aspects of large, multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions and acts for respondents in a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims. Ms Westwood also provides training to clients on a variety of employment matters and speaks at client seminars and webinars.
- A wholesale supplier of outdoor equipment on the potential for Court action, and its handling of ongoing investigations, following its discovery of serious breaches of duty by its Export Manager in assisting third parties to compete and misuse designs.
- A multi-national Public Relations firm on a range of high profile employment and LLP partnership issues relating to the company’s activities which led to its ultimate collapse, including the suspension and termination of two partners and two employees, advising on responses to subject access requests and the position of the CEO.
- A global banking corporation headquartered in the US with a suite of boutique investment and wealth management businesses on an unfair dismissal claim by a former trader dismissed for gross misconduct.
- A large Australian-owned real estate investment trust in connection with the termination of its CIO (Chief Investment Officer). This matter entailed multi-jurisdictional advice across the UK and Singapore, analysis of complex incentive and carry plans, detailed tax advice, and extensive negotiation.
