Allison DeJong

Allison DeJong focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on product liability and mass torts. Ms. DeJong represents clients from a range of sectors, including in the technology, consumer products, and pharmaceutical industries. She has represented clients in state and federal court at all stages of litigation including fact discovery and case workup, expert witnesses, motion practice, Daubert briefing, and trial preparation.

Ms. DeJong maintains an active pro bono practice, representing victims of labor trafficking in civil TVPA claims in federal court.

Ms. DeJong is a regular contributor to the product liability and mass torts group’s newsletter, Dechert Re:Torts. Ms. DeJong is admitted in New York only; she is not admitted in California.

  • A global technology company in multiple federal actions, including class actions, involving immunity issues under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act for content sharing platforms that host material created and uploaded by third parties.
  • A major pharmaceutical company in litigation involving the claim that an H2 receptor antagonist caused patients to develop cancer.
  • A manufacturing company in product liability litigation involving allegations that a product sold to the military is related to hearing loss suffered by servicemen and women.
  • Getinge AB and Atrium Medical Corporation in more than 2,400 personal injury lawsuits that have been filed involving their hernia mesh products, including an MDL in New Hampshire.
  • GSK in two class action lawsuits for alleged false advertising of its natural line of Chapstick products.
