Private Funds Nuts & Bolts: Crypto Funds 2.0 – Opportunities for Investment Managers in 2021
This webinar covered the following:
The past year has been good for Bitcoin. Other digital assets and blockchain generally have advanced steadily in the face of COVID lockdowns and financial upheaval around the world. More and more traditional and alternative investment management firms are including exposure to Bitcoin and other digital assets in both their retail and private fund portfolios, raising numerous novel operational and compliance issues.

Investment managers in 2021 will be confronted more and more often by the challenges and opportunities in this rapidly changing area.
Timothy Spangler, partner in Dechert’s Orange County and Silicon Valley offices who focuses on the intersection of blockchain and financial regulation, and Andrew Schaffer, associate in Dechert’s New York office, discussed the key issues to bear in mind when structuring and launching the next generation of crypto funds.
