National Law Journal Once Again Honors Dechert for ESG and Pro Bono Success
Dechert has again been recognized by the National Law Journal in its annual awards 2023, which were established to honor those law firms and lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession in the past year.
For the second consecutive year, Dechert was named an “ESG and Community Impact Leader” for legal leadership in the ESG space, underscored by sustained success in ESG-focused billable and pro bono work, and for the exceptional social impacts created by the firm’s wider pro bono efforts. Dechert’s financial services lawyers regularly advise on ESG compliance and related matters, while its capital markets and debt finance teams have led on a string of ESG-focused bond issuances and sustainability-linked private credit financings. On the pro bono side, Dechert was again ranked by The American Lawyer among the ten top firms for pro bono, both in the United States and internationally. The firm’s pro bono efforts include protecting women’s reproductive rights, advocating for prisoners’ civil rights, and protecting the right to vote for all U.S. citizens.
Winners in all categories of the National Law Journal Awards will be honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on October 26.
