Dechert’s Latino Affinity Group supports the development and retention of Latino lawyers and educate others about the history and traditions of our cultures. To effect change, we identify and address DEI-related issues and create new and recurring programming focused on the attainment of professional and business development skills. We offer enhanced mentoring opportunities, retreats and educational workshop for diverse lawyers. Reaching beyond Dechert, we engage with our communities through advocacy and pro bono.
The Latino Affinity Group has celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting events with David Lamb, award-winning producer and playwright of the ground-breaking, long-running, off-Broadway hit Platanos Y Collard Greens, Dan-el Peralta, author of the memoir Undocumented: A Dominican Boy's Odyssey from a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League and J.R. Martinez, an actor, author, motivational speaker and retired U.S. Army soldier.
